Shockingly, there is another land mass across that beach where I swim with my kids every summer over there in South Carolina! First, the Earth is flat and now this! As far out there and exotic as it seems, right, “another place”, it's actually pretty freaking awesome! I have some friends in Paris right now, no, I'm not personally acquainted with Donald Trump, G-20's on you lackeys! Anyway, Paris, France, Europe, that really cool other place, yeah, those dude are eating up PCS to the point that we've brought them on board and they are changing how we do business. They have these planes and ships! BIG BIG SHIPS that take the PCS to these new and exotic lands, far far away. Our babies are so grown!

PCS Drumstick Blogger: Did you know France gave us the Statue of Liberty on like some important day or something? Yea—France!
PCS Drumstick Blogger: And, did you know if it was not for France and the city of Lafayette in Indiana or something that the American Revolution would have maybe never happened at least until WWII or Vietnam? Lincoln?
Amazing!
So, in the tradition of the history of America and the rest of the world, George Bless their prized fries and toast, it seemed natural and the absolute best most awesome thing we could do was to bring on Yannick Sastre as PCS Artist Relations, of France and the whole world of America!
I hope their tower is straight now! JS!
Seriously though, Yannick is 100% the dude for this role. He was basically the “European” division anyway and with Joey Gonzalez who formerly filled this role, being called into service by Superjoint Ritual, the dude works his tail off now and simply had to make a choice. Blue is still our boy and he could not live without PCS, we know this, we jokingly switched his sticks once, and whew, did you see that United video? That was him, right?
Thank you Blue for all you have done for us. We love you, bro, you have taken us far, and rest assured, you can't dodge my texts forever. I will get that follow up interview even if I have to edit United footage to get it. Obama?
And, because, France is far away near France, instead of the good old phone interview I was forced into this sticky web of Internet hubaloo and intrigue and guh—here's a typed interview that actually turned out really really good! Dude can write too!
Overall, Yannick is amazing, I'm a little wowed by his ability to both jam and do the PCS thing (and write). Good job bro, thanks for taking the time to deal with me and George Bless the King or whatever or something. Obama.

PCS Drumstick Blogger: How did you first find out about PCS?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: Tom Maceron from Overcharger a band here in Bordeaux, France. I was working for Soultone Europe, Tom came to my home and he brought his PCS sticks. He started telling me about them right away. After we tested some Soultones here in my drum room, I took his PCS for a test drive and couldn't believe it!.
PCS Drumstick Blogger: What do you personally like about the sticks?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: They are well balanced and sound excellent on the drums and cymbals. They are a tough strain of wood and I love the patent-pending O-Rings. The PCS grips are surprisingly good, I do not lose sticks, they do not move too much, and my finger position stays near perfect. I am very impressed. And, as an audiophile I can tell you they are great for recording too!
PCS Drumstick Blogger: How often do they break?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: As Tom is a hard hitter in a metal band I asked him first. He just answered, "They last forever, try these out man". Considering Overcharger's heavy sound I said to myself, “Why not ?" Most of Tom's last order was still unbroken so I borrowed a pair (thanks to him by the way). I still have those PCS, not this was November 2016! I recommend watching that crazy PCS Drumsticks video test where they shoot one stick with an air gun on a concrete block. That's just impressive to watch (and funny).

PCS Drumstick Blogger: What is your experience as a drummer musician? For example, how long have you been playing and do you have schooling?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: I've played drums for about 35years. I LOVE to play drums and I love drummers. My formal training was at the French Agostini Drumschool under Dominique Marseille direction. It was tough but I did it for about 6years and graduated second mention diploma. Played in a lot of bands during the course as well as the whole recording thing. Most important show, for me, was Orlando Furioso Baroque Opera from 1996 to 2007 with 10 to 16 drummers, 4 basses, 4 guitars, 6 brasswinds, dancers, soldering guys, pneumatic hammers, vaccum cleaners and just about wild things. Every show was unique and only performed once. It was nuclear to say the least !! This show was amazing!
I was the Drum Dept Manager in Inforythmie Bordeaux for about 10 years. It was in this shop that I really began connecting with USA and importing cool stuff in France. Then I had an appointment with Ludwig people, around 2002 in Frankfurt, (with Jim Catalano and René Rochat) and distributed Ludwig here for about 2years 1/2. As small as I was, Ludwig was very very nice to me. Great experience ! At the same time I began also teaching drums and I'm remain a teacher ever since. I love teaching people and sharing my vast experience. I care a lot for the younger crowd especially children, though I also teach adults. To this day it's a wonderful experience. I love it. Actually I play with Castan (Anima Music) trio which is a rock'n roll power trio. I also record some drum loops for singer/guitarist Ronald Agenor ( former French Tennis Champion) who lives in Miami. He's releasing an album of great Funky music with some titles like " I want to Lift you Up" and "Glenn Sound" which is co-produced by Keith Sterling. Should be out on 28th July. First single is already out. We hope we'll be able to play the live dates together.
PCS Drumstick Blogger: Has PCS enhanced or improved ho you play the drums?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: Well, sure it helps me gain confidence as I'm sure there's very very little chance I lose a stick now. Also, these PCS sticks DO sound amazing on all my Ludwig snares (I'm also a snare drum collector) and on my Ludwig Classic Maple kit, very organic and dynamic powerful sound. Lost of finesse in touch if you need. Confidence while holding and playing these great PCS sticks is VERY important. And they don't break. The wood is just absolute top notch quality. David Peridore really hunts for finest woods available.
PCS Drumstick Blogger: How did you end up in the role of artist relations and describe some of your duties?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: We were chatting on online with David Peridore, since around February, and he was always very very kind with me. I asked him a lot about his sticks as I was impressed with Tom's model. He was also interested in the French market, which is booming and within two months we made a group order with some of the best French drummers I know. It was a sizable order and Dave-O is basically banging these out by himself, but he said "Ok, just do it and rule it". From there we've done so much business and we became such great friends, it just seemed natural. I already had experience as a Soultone (Europe and USA) Artist Rep and with Joey moving on to focus on Superjoint, the timing was just right. We discussed how my role of Artist Relations for PCS would pretty much be what I was already doing day in day out anyway. So, it happened and I'm super glad to be on board. Now, I review all the candidatures, post all articles on FB, prvide quotes to all drummers, most importantly I send contracts to guys so that they can sign it, (just like for Soultone Cymbals in fact). It's been a great connection ever since. David Peridore is a hard worker for sure !! I feel very fortunate to be able to chat and talk drums/cymbals/sticks with all the amazing PCS Artists!
PCS Drumstick Blogger: Where do you see the future of PCS?
Yannick Sastre PCS Artist Relations: I see a bright future for PCS Sticks, it's just an awesome product. It sells itself. 100% hand made, 200% Custom and 300% Rock Solid—I can not wait to receive my PCS order. I also recently made a connection here for a European distribution, samples go out when the order arrives. On the US market we'll have to send PCS samples too as the demands begin to grow. We'll have to honor that ASAP. The online formula is working great too, with me in France, because there's always somebody online to answer questions, think of the time difference, either David or myself. It's a 24/7 operation now.
